Update: Middle Schools & Redefining Learning Program

• The implementation of “Redefining Learning” (1:1 devices) at 6th grade will continue into the 2017-18 school year.
• Professional development, supports, and clarity of expectations will be adjusted based on perception data being gathered now from teachers and students.
• “Redefining Learning Program” (1:1 student devices) will be implemented at the 7th and 8th grade levels.  The specific timeline for each will be finalized during spring 2017 (4th quarter).
• The timeline and plan for implementation will be developed with full consideration of:
• Updated program objectives for Redefining Learning Program.
• RFP (“request for proposals”) process is completed in Spring 2017. (We receive competitive bids for devices and determine which device(s) we will purchase and from which company.)
• Bonds sales in March 2017
• Curriculum Renewal processes for secondary ELA/SS are completed and technology implications are determined.
